Twenty-four hours on from that rather ridiculous finish against Man United and there has been no shortage of Everton talking points.
The transfer window is still hanging around in the background, as it probably will for a while, but Everton have five points from their opening three Premier League games and remain unbeaten.
Not everything is perfect. Far from it. But after the mood of last Tuesday, things could certainly be worse.
Here’s what we’ve been talking about today.
Grealish gives Moyes something to think about
Jack Grealish’s return was always going to get a huge reception at the Hill Dickinson.
He got one when he replaced Brennan Johnson after 66 minutes and then gave David Moyes a glimpse of what he can offer again.
Moyes admitted afterwards that Grealish still needs fitness after barely playing for six months because of a foot injury, but praised his ability to keep the ball and pick passes.
That leaves Moyes with an interesting decision ahead of Tottenham.
We’ve looked at the selection problem Grealish has already given him, with Johnson and Tyrique George among his other options out wide.
Barry’s numbers are good. The lack of alternatives isn’t
Thierno Barry has scored once in his opening three league appearances, but the underlying numbers suggest he could easily have had more.
He’s accumulated 2.25 xG across those games and continues to get into decent positions.
The worry isn’t really Barry. It’s what happens if a 23-year-old in his first season of English football needs taking out of the firing line for a while.
Everton don’t have another recognised senior centre-forward.
We took a closer look at Barry’s numbers – and the problem Everton have left themselves.
Maybe United weren’t simply entitled to win
Some of the Manchester United reaction to Sunday’s draw has been interesting.
United have taken four points from games against Hull, Ipswich and Everton, prompting plenty of criticism. Fair enough.
But lumping Everton in with two newly-promoted teams as if the trip to the Hill Dickinson should simply have been another three points felt a little dismissive.
Moyes’ side had 18 shots to United’s 14 and six on target to three.
Our take was that some of the reaction did Everton a disservice.

And then there’s talkSPORT.
A few days after Alex Crook suggested Moyes had been badly let down and said he would consider walking away in the manager’s position, Simon Jordan offered rather different advice today.
His message was essentially: manage what you’ve got or don’t work there.
Different people are allowed different opinions, obviously. But the way Everton have been discussed since deadline day has swung around rather dramatically.

One injury – and a trip to Spurs next
There was some good news on the fitness front.
James Garner’s withdrawal against United was down to cramp, while Hayden Hackney returned from injury and promptly set up George’s equaliser.
That leaves Christian Nørgaard as Everton’s only confirmed senior absentee, with Moyes saying the Dane is beginning to make some progress.

Next up is Tottenham away on Saturday.
After the chaos of deadline day, Everton could quite easily have disappeared into the international break with the mood around the place on the floor.
Instead they’re unbeaten, Grealish is back, George has his first goal, and Maitland-Niles has already introduced himself in fairly spectacular fashion.
Could be worse.
