Lucca Brughmans is set to join Liverpool in 2027, with the 18-year-old already earning rave reviews in Belgium.
The goalkeeper was in fine form for Genk in the 0-0 draw with Anderlecht on Sunday night, and his performance was one of the main reasons his team didn’t lose.
He made one particularly good save, stretching down to his left to claw the ball from the goal line in the first half.

After the game, he spoke to Het Laatste Nieuws about the move he will make to Anfield next season.
The Reds signed him for £30m this summer, but loaned him back to Genk until next summer, when Alisson Becker’s Liverpool contract expires, at which point he will formally make the move to Merseyside.
Brughmans teased the transfer, but remained coy on the role he will play at Anfield, with the common consensus that he will compete with Giorgi Mamardashvili to be the starting goalkeeper.
He said: “The plan Liverpool have for me is obviously something I can’t reveal in full. But the intention is for me to become their first-choice goalkeeper in the long term, and I’m going to do everything I can to achieve that.
“I still have steps to take, and I’m pleased that I can take them at Genk. I’m fully aware that I haven’t made it yet and, for now, my focus has to remain here [at Genk].”

Liverpool are well and truly in a new era as the spine of the team that Jurgen Klopp assembled is breaking up.
Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Andy Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Georginio Wijnaldum and more have all left.
Only Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk really remain from the core of the team that won so much silverware.
Even the manager who replaced Klopp has left after Arne Slot was sacked last summer. To see Alisson leave will be a truly disappointing moment, especially as I believe he still has a lot to offer.
It’s my hope that Liverpool will renew Alisson and van Dijk’s contracts. Centre-backs and goalkeepers can play at an elite level for much longer than other positions, but time will tell whether whoever replaces Richard Hughes as the club’s sporting director makes any such decisions.
