Tom Brady is set to begin his third season as FOX’s main NFL game analyst. Ever since the seven-time Super Bowl champion signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with the network, there have been questions about Brady’s commitment to the craft.
No one doubts Brady is working hard at his new job–he made noticeable improvements from Year 1 to Year 2–but some have wondered if he will finish out his deal, particularly since he’s also a partial owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. Brady’s involvement with the Raiders has also led to restrictions on his ability to interact with teams he is covering.
In a new feature [with Front Office Sports](https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/Articles/2026/09/07/from-brady-to-brees-an-inside-look-at-how-fox-sports-develops-on-air-talent/?utm_source=sbj&utm_medium=twitter&utm_term=e34ff41e-1e99-42b5-957a-1e60b72854e8), Brady dismissed the criticism that stems from those limitations as “clickbait,” including people wondering if his overall preparedness isn’t where it needs to be.
“It’s clickbait for people and it’s something that people have no idea what they’re really glomming onto,” Brady said. “They just put it out there in the world and see what sticks. So to me, I just focus on what I need to do to be prepared. That’s what I did as a player, and I go out there every week as a broadcaster and try to do the same thing.”
In it ‘for the long haul’

Fox Sports president and executive producer Brad Zager also made it clear he and the company anticipate Brady completing his decade-long tenure.
“From the moment we signed Tom, no matter what was written or said, I have never gotten an indication from Tom that he is not into this for the long haul,” Zager said. “For over a decade, we also heard about \[former FOX analyst Troy Aikman\] possibly taking a front office job. Rumors like that were always out there. You don’t know what the future holds, but I can tell you right now that we have had no discussions with Tom that didn’t involve him being here for a long time.”
For what it’s worth, Brady confirmed as much to _FOS_‘ Richard Deitsch and Austin Karp.
“I have a lot to prove to myself, to my teammates. I have a lot to prove to the executives,” Brady said. “I want to go earn it and I don’t want anything given to me. I hope they’ll have me through the end of this contract. I love getting to enjoy the game. I love watching good football. There’s such great camaraderie and chemistry we all have together. We have seminars. We have off-site retreats. We have text threads with all of us. It feels like a big family in so many ways, and I was not really expecting that when I decided to take the job.”
Brady will be on the call alongside Kevin Burkhardt, Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi for Sunday’s Week 1 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders (4:25 p.m. ET, FOX).
