Lucca Brughmans has completed a move to Liverpool in a deal worth up to £30m. The young goalkeeper has signed a six-year contract. He spends this season on loan with Genk, then joins Liverpool, as per the latest transfer news.

As reported by BBC Sport, Liverpool have now confirmed the arrival of Lucca Brughmans. The deal could rise to £30m with add-ons included. The shot-stopper has signed a six-year deal, securing his future with the Reds. However, he will not travel to England straight away.
Instead, the teenager will spend all of the 2026-27 season on loan back in Belgium. He then moves permanently to Anfield when the 2027-28 season begins. He made his senior debut for Genk this April. Since then, started every league game so far this term without interruption.
The fee combines an initial payment with add-ons. The overall figure sits near the top of what both clubs could reach. Liverpool’s scouting setup, headed by Matt Newberry, played a key role in finalising the deal. It fits a pattern the club has followed more often in recent seasons.
