Liverpool midfielder Izzie Breen has officially been included in England Women’s U17 squad as they prepare to kick off their 2026-27 season.
England will face 2027 UEFA Women’s U17 EURO hosts Finland on Thursday, September 10 at 4:30pm BST and Sunday, September 13 at 12pm BST.

The two fixtures will take place at Project Liv Arena in Pietarsaari and Lemonsoft Stadion in Vaasa respectively, providing important preparation ahead of the first round of qualification for next summer’s finals.
England are scheduled to face Belarus, Hungary and Denmark in three qualifying matches in December. Head coach Kerri Welsh said: “We are really excited to get the new season underway and bring the group together for the first time in what we hope will be an exciting year ahead for us.
“There is a lot of young talent in this squad, and it will be great to get them some important minutes on the pitch as we prepare for our EURO qualifiers.
“We know facing Finland will be a tough challenge for us, and as hosts of the 2027 EURO, it’s particularly exciting to face them.
“These fixtures provide us with the chance to test ourselves against different opposition and see where we are as a group at this early stage in the season.”
Breen was also on target for Liverpool FC Women during pre-season, scoring in their 5-0 victory over Sheffield United last month.
