Tom Brady hit out at critics of his broadcasting style as the NFL legend gears up for his third season in the booth with FOX.
Brady has been the subject of criticism for almost the entirety of his 25 years in the public eye, but the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback has seemingly had enough of the negativity surrounding his broadcasting chops.
The 45-year-old first joined FOX as its lead NFL analyst ahead of the 2024 season, and he got off to a rough start. Viewers at home were quick to note that he was not a natural broadcaster and had work to do in order to get up to speed with other color analysts around the league.
The consensus feeling is that he has improved drastically, but not enough to satisfy the entire internet.
Brady is still regularly critiqued for his many side commitments outside of his role with FOX, including his part-ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders, modeling gigs, and public stunts involving WWE star and social media personality Logan Paul.
“It’s clickbait for people, and it’s something that people have no idea what they’re really glomming onto. They just put it out there in the world and see what sticks,” Brady told Sports Business Journal regarding commentary on his broadcasting ability and preparedness.
"So, to me, I just focus on what I need to do to be prepared.
"That’s what I did as a player, and I go out there every week as a broadcaster and try to do the same thing."

As the greatest quarterback in the history of the sport and a future first-ballot Hall of Famer, Brady has a long history of blocking out the noise in order to do his job to the best of his ability.
He has said before that he approaches broadcasting similarly to how he prepared for an NFL game, and reports indicate that, despite his many side-quests, he is still wholly committed to FOX.
That’s certainly what the network would hope, given they signed him to a 10-year, $375 million deal that will keep him in the booth through the end of the 2033 NFL season.
“I have a lot to prove to myself, to my teammates. I have a lot to prove to the executives. I want to go earn it, and I don’t want anything given to me. I hope they’ll have me through the end of this contract,” Brady said.
“I love getting to enjoy the game. I love watching good football. There’s such great camaraderie and chemistry we all have together.
"We have seminars. We have off-site retreats. We have text threads with all of us. It feels like a big family in so many ways, and I was not really expecting that when I decided to take the job.”
