Liverpool fans will hope they've seen Alexander Isak kick-start his career at Anfield after his two goals at Ipswich, and Jamie Redknapp is confident Andoni Iraola is about to reap the rewards

Jamie Redknapp believes that Andoni Iraola could be about to reap the rewards of a newly-confident Alexander Isak, with the striker showing signs that he’s finally finding his feet at Liverpool.
Isak has already equalled his Premier League tally from last season after just three games of the current campaign. He scored his first double for the club at Ipswich on Friday to inspire the Reds to their first win under Iraola, having also scored the previous week against Nottingham Forest.
The Sweden international now just needs one more goal to equal his overall tally from last season, and he will be hoping that his performance at Portman Road can kick-start his Anfield career.

Isak’s first season following his drawn-out transfer from Newcastle was wrecked by injuries and a lack of fitness after missing out on a pre-season. He would make just 22 appearances, which yielded only four goals.
Former Liverpool midfielder Redknapp though is seeing a much more encouraging level in confidence in Isak after his player of the match performance at the weekend.
“For him, right now, he’ll just feel so good when he sees those goals going in. Relief? Absolutely,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.

“He’d have questioned ‘what’s happened to me?’ You feel like you’ve been Space Jammed, someone's taken your talent. ‘What’s happened? Why can't I do what I was doing when I was at Newcastle?’
“All of a sudden, now we’re just seeing a player that just looks absolutely full of confidence, fantastic goals, and that’s what we wanted to see because you do have those doubts, and I’m sure now this manager is thinking ‘I’m going to reap the rewards of this’.”
Isak himself has admitted to finding it difficult to settle in last season at Liverpool amid his injury problems, although he insists those are now behind him.
"It was not easy [last season]," Isak admitted after the win at Ipswich.

Liverpool.com says: Hopefully we’ll look back on that performance at Ipswich at the end of the season and see it as the catalyst for Isak’s turnaround at Liverpool.
It wasn’t just the goals that will fill fans with confidence. After scoring his second, Isak looked like he wanted to get on the ball at every available opportunity, and nearly every touch he took looked surpemely confident.
With Hugo Ekitike out injured until at least late December, he’ll clearly start most games as long as he’s fit, and hopefully we can start to see the striker that took the Premier League by storm at Newcastle.
