Liverpool's summer transfer business is finished, but that doesn't mean work isn't going on behind the scenes for the winter transfer window and beyond.
The Reds still have several positions that need to be addressed, with right-back and midfield being among the more pressing concerns for AndoniIraola's side moving forward. Beyond that, there could be some extra reinforcement on the right wing, considering the imbalance of the side with plenty of left-wing options available.
Then there needs to be some balance with possible outgoings, as Liverpool could seal some exits either permanently or on loan over the coming months.
So, with that said, here's a look at the latest Liverpool transfer news and rumors ahead of another busy day of action.
Dani Carvajal (Free agent)
Liverpool is among the teams to have been offered Dani Carvajal as a potential free agent signing by intermediaries, according to TeamTalk, while the right-back considers his next move.
The former Real Madrid defender is available on a free after leaving the Bernabeu this summer at the end of his contract, ending a 13-year stint where he was part of one of the most successful teams of his generation.

The report claims that Liverpool is weighing up its options, considering the issues that the right-back position has created in recent months, while Manchester City has also been offered a move. Fellow Premier League side Fulham has been credited with interest, which would see Carvajal reunite with Alvaro Arbelo after a short stint together at Real Madrid last season.
Liverpool.com says: While Liverpool has been crying out for right-back cover, going out and signing Carvajal at this stage would be an odd move.
The team currently has cover there with Ronald Araujo pushing for a place against Jeremie Frimpong, while Conor Bradley is set to make a return in the coming months.
Carvajal could offer a short-term solution, but it's unclear whether he would be up to the speed and intensity of the Premier League, which could just add another issue at right-back for Iraola to consider.
Luke Chambers (Liverpool)
Scottish side Celtic is interested in a move for Liverpool defender Luke Chambers in the January transfer window, with a possible loan move touted. That's according to Alan Nixon's Patreon, who claims that the left-back could be free to leave the Reds in the winter, after he failed to make an exit over the summer.
Liverpool.com says: A top-level loan move for Chambers would be ideal for his development. There have been signs that he can compete, having featured for the likes of Kilmarnock, Wigan, and Charlton in his career so far, with some decent reviews from his time there.
After an impressive preseason, it's a shame he couldn't go out and play more for the first half of the campaign, but with Champions League and Carabao Cup action coming up, he could be called into action.
Whether he would feature much, considering the quality of Kieran Tierney at Celtic, is unclear. But it could give the star a chance to prove a point with a quality team.
