Arsenal's Eberechi Eze is finding game time incredibly difficult at the moment, and supporters are right to be concerned about what his future looks like.
In the Premier League this season, Eze has played just 59 minutes in total and is yet to start, and he was an unused substitute against Chelsea last time out.
Even in the Community Shield against Manchester City, Eze was given just six minutes as they secured a 3-0 victory.
When Eze arrived through the door at the Emirates Stadium, it was an incredibly exciting signing for the Gunners given his displays for Crystal Palace.
Unfortunately, it's not quite worked out for him in terms of cementing himself as a guaranteed starter, and it doesn't look like it will change any time soon.
The biggest concern is that Eze is unable to nail down a set position at Arsenal. With Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli sold, the left-wing spot could have been his to compete for, but he's barely been given a chance.
In reality, Eze isn't a natural winger and has struggled there at times. In his favoured position, more centrally, Martin Odegaard is one of the first names on the team sheet, so how is Eze ever going to receive regular minutes?

Clearly, Mikel Arteta is not seeing enough from Eze in training to convince him that he can be trusted more regularly.
It was telling that Eze wasn't given more minutes against Man City in the Community Shield, despite Arsenal basically having the game won after 48 minutes. Viktor Gyokeres, Bukayo Saka, Piero Hincapie, and Martin Zubimendi all came on before him, with Eze only brought on for the final six minutes.

Eze thrived as a big fish in a small pond at Palace.
An attacking midfielder in a Palace side, in comparison to Arsenal, is completely different. For the Gunners, the likes of Odegaard will be on the ball for significantly longer periods than Palace's attacking options, and that added responsibility hasn't suited Eze.
Some players suit playing for clubs outside of the so-called big six. Eze might be one of them.
Arsenal are a side who dominate possession and spend large portions of games camped inside the opposition half breaking teams down.
Eze is someone who thrives in transition, carrying through space in the middle that he's not given when playing for Arsenal.
