Lamine Camara is a top target for Liverpool amid claims of a personal terms agreement with the Reds.
Liverpool are one of the teams to have sent scouts to watch Camara in Paris for AS Monaco’s 2-1 win over PSG on Friday, with numerous reports stating that there is a distinct chance he makes a move to Anfield at the turn of the year.
Speaking on the Anfield Index podcast, David Lynch says that Camara is “100%” one to keep an eye on for a potential move to Liverpool in the January window after his failed move to Chelsea.
Lynch said: “Alexis Mac Allister was a candidate to leave this summer. He will still be a candidate to leave next summer, with only one year left on his contract. There are no contract talks happening. So should Liverpool get ahead and bring Camara in this January if they can?
“Lamine Camara is 100% one to keep an eye on. We’ve mentioned it for months it’s someone Liverpool have liked and are watching. They didn’t pull the trigger as was expected in the summer but you know January is a different matter.”

Alexis Mac Allister is getting back to his best
If Liverpool don’t sign Camara in January, it might not be the end of the world as Mac Allister seems to be getting back to his very best.
In the opening game of the season, Iraola used Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai in a double pivot, but it was imbalanced and defensively fragile.
Iraola then dropped Gravenberch for Mac Allister, who has since started both of Liverpool’s last two games. Against Ipswich Town, the Argentine was fantastic and now seems to be the preferred midfield partner for Szoboszlai.

Mac Allister completed 88% of his passes against Ipswich, including one key pass. He was also effective at breaking up play, winning three ground duels and two tackles. Additionally, Macca made five ball recoveries, one interception, one clearance and blocked a single shot.
If he’s going to continue to start for the Reds, he needs to play the way he did against Ipswich, but there will be more challenging opponents than the newly promoted outfit, who have already conceded eight goals in three games.
