While he may not receive a full workload in Week 1, the star tight end traveled to Australia to compete against the Los Angeles Rams, and offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak indicated Kittle will play in some capacity.
Selected in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, George Kittle quickly overcame his unremarkable draft status and established himself as one of the best tight ends in football. During his rookie season, the Iowa product finished the season with 43 receptions for 515 yards and two touchdowns on 63 targets. This was a promising debut, and he made the Year 2 leap by finishing the 2018 season with 88 receptions for 1,377 yards and five touchdowns on 136 targets.
