The Champions League is back, and Andoni Iraola takes charge of Liverpool for the first time in Europe this week as his side face Atletico Madrid in their opening league phase game.
For the second year in a row, the Reds will host Diego Simeone's side at Anfield as they begin their quest to land a seventh European crown. The long road to the final begins on Wednesday, with Liverpool hoping to earn a return to Atletico's home ground in June, having won its 2019 title at the same location.
First, it will have to navigate its way through the opening stage, with games against LASK, Villarreal, Fenerbahce, Club Brugge, Porto, Inter Milan and Lens to come after tomorrow's visit of Atletico.
It always prove to be an eventful occasion when the Spanish side comes to town, with Simeone having saw red last year for clashing with Liverpool fans following Virgil van Dijk's dramatic late winner.
Ahead of their next encounter, Iraola and a player will be speaking to the media at the club's AXA Training Centre ahead of an open training session later in the day.
