Caitlin Clark Fans Accuse Team USA Of Not Passing To Fever Guard Despite Dropping 7 Assists

While Caitlin Clark may be struggling to find her consistency in Team USA’s 2026 FIBA World Cup run, her fans feel she’s not getting the support she needs from her own teammates.
If CC fans had to count the number of times she was denied a pass from her teammates on court, especially Team USA teammates, they already have a few instances to show from this year alone. Back in March 2026, when Clark and Angel Reese both made their Team USA senior debuts, the Atlanta Dream forward was accused of not passing the ball to the Indiana Fever guard during a match against Puerto Rico.
Now it must have felt like déjà vu for Clark fans when something similar happened during Team USA’s final group-stage game at the FIBA World Cup against the Czech Republic.
On September 7, 2026, Team USA clinched a knockout spot after a 105-64 win over Czechia. But Clark fans noticed something during the play that had them questioning her teammates’ intentions.
With a convincing victory on Monday, Team USA maintained its perfect record in Group D of the 2026 FIBA World Cup. However, fans are now confused to see Clark play a supporting role rather than lead her team to victory.
The Fever star finished with seven assists and nine points against the Czech Republic; however, six of her teammates outscored her. This came right after her one-point performance in the previous game, a narrow win over Italy.
Some fans claimed that Clark, who is currently struggling to find rhythm with her shooting, is not getting the same support she is giving to her team.
A sports page on X (formerly Twitter) shared a clip from Team USA’s matchup against Czechia on Monday, writing, “TEAM USA DOESN’T PASS TO CAITLIN CLARK AGAIN… DESPITE HER FEEDING EVERYONE!”

The voiceover in the clip explained, “So Team USA won today, but it was another game where they just wouldn’t pass to Caitlin. So what they do is put Breanna Stewart; she’s dribbling up the court. They put her in with Caitlin Clark and then don’t let Caitlin Clark run the point guard.”
The OP added, “Honestly, anytime Paige Bueckers and Breanna Stewart were on the court, Caitlin Clark wasn’t going to get the ball.”
“This is three straight games. It goes to show you, the players and the coach could change the aspect of every game.”
The video further shows Clark “calling for the ball just for an entire half.”
Later in the clip, the Fever guard “shares the ball when she gets her hands on it.”
The OP felt Clark “could have about 15 assists in the game” but only finished with seven.
“She just wasn’t getting the ball the entire game. I mean, it’s pretty clear as day what’s going on here. They’ll say, ‘Oh, you’re making this up when you show about 20 minutes each game and the few minutes she gets.’”
Describing a particular point in the play involving Clark, Bueckers and Stewart, the OP said, *“You don’t have to keep the ball away from her because she shares the ball with everybody.*”
The video also showed Clark passing the ball to Bueckers, Reese, Aliyah Boston (in the corner for three), and Stewart with a stunning full-court pass, with all players scoring a field goal.
“She got six different players a bucket, and if they would have made some of their shots it would have been more.”
Other fans too backed Clark after the game, who was snubbed from Team USA’s starting five.
Calling it a “sabotage” from her teammates, another fan wrote, “We are back to nobody passing the ball to Caitlin. And Caitlin passing the ball to everyone else CC sabotage in full effect by her teammates.”
“They’ll rather turn the ball over than passing it to Caitlin Clark. This s— is so funny,” wrote another frustrated CC fan.
As Team USA is about to face the winner of Japan vs. Hungary in the quarterfinals, fans would love to see their favorite team back with one of their favorite players.
