Andoni Iraola drops big Bradley Barcola hint ahead of Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid

Ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Ipswich Town, most of the pre-match coverage was centered around Bradley Barcola.

The French international became one of the most expensive recruits in Premier League history when he sealed a move to Anfield from PSG and made his debut as a second-half substitute at Portman Road.

Andoni Iraola admitted before the game against Ipswich that he was tempted to start Barcola, although he refrained from doing so.

And now, the Spaniard has indicated that the 24-year-old is ready to start if required tomorrow.

Bradley Barcola ready to start for Liverpool

“He is ready to play more minutes,” said Iraola in his pre-match press conference when asked about Barcola.

“He has been training quite normally, only thing he hasn’t had pre-season games. But he is in a really good place.”

Barcola came on as a substitute vs Ipswich and immediately showed his class with his neat touches and devastating pace.

Liverpool need their best players to come to the fore to beat Atletico Madrid, so don’t be surprised to see Iraola throw Barcola into the fray from the start.
