Isaiah Thomas might not be done playing basketball.
It's been a couple of years since we last saw him in the NBA, but the former Boston Celtics guard posted on X that he wants to play overseas for a season.
"I want that experience!" Thomas tweeted. "And to cook them boys over that water 😂"
Thomas, 37, added that he doesn't want to play as he used to. Rather than serving as a go-to scorer, he says he'd play more like a traditional point guard.
"It’s funny when people be like you can’t still cook like you use too. Like why can’t I??? I don’t even want to play like that anymore though lol. If I played again I’d just be a PG and make plays lead the league in ast type s— and let yall see how easy it is 😂"
His tweets caught the attention of Zalgiris Kaunas, which invited him to experience a game from courtside.
It remains to be seen if Thomas actually gets an offer to suit up overseas.

Thomas last played in the NBA in the 2023-24 season. He appeared in six games with the Phoenix Suns and logged a total of 19 minutes.
Thomas, of course, is best remembered for his time with the Celtics. He became a star and fan favorite in Boston, earning two All-Star selections and an All-NBA Second Team selection over three seasons. He peaked in 2016-17, when he averaged 28.9 points and 5.9 assists per game. He finished fifth in MVP voting that season.
Unfortunately for Thomas, a hip injury significantly altered the trajectory of his career, and he never again reached the heights of his 2016-17 season.
Thomas has spent time in the G League over the years. A stint in Europe would give him a chance to write a new chapter in his basketball career.
