If all goes well, you will not see a new quarterback as the full-time starter for the Bucs until the next decade.
That’s because the Bucs and Mayfield agreed to terms today on a three-year deal for a reported $165 million, which lasts through the 2029 season.

Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht cited Mayfield’s “toughness” as an attribute he did not want to see walk out of One Buc Palace for good.

KitKat-eating Bucs coach Todd Bowles praised Mayfield’s ability to energize his teammates as a key reason the Oklahoma product is so valuable.

Now, in Joe’s eyes, the focus is on the defense. Joe isn’t worried about the offense. Mayfield is surrounded by plenty of talent on offense. And his near-future is now secure.
It’s time the Bucs get this defense playing up to higher standards.
