Former Raiders Pro Bowler calls out team over decision to trade Maxx Crosby image

When the Las Vegas Raiders decided to trade Maxx Crosby, or at least attempt to, it seemed like a decision that kind of made sense.

On the one hand, the Raiders were obviously trying to get assets in return for one of the better players in the NFL, but it's also important to recognize that Crosby has done a lot for the organization, and sometimes a few first-round picks don't really change that.

While some Raiders fans might have been fine with that trade, the chances of any of those picks ending up becoming a player of Crosby's caliber are low, and it's the wrong idea.

One former Raiders running back had a lot to say about the situation, as he revealed some of his real thoughts about why trading Crosby didn't make much sense to him.

“I just can’t believe that something like that even occurred in their thought process, especially for a guy that has put his blood, sweat, and tears into an organization and has the organization tatted on him that drafted him,” Raheem Mostert said, H/T Heavy.

“He’s gone out there every single game, every single day, and worked his tail off just to show everybody that he’s one of the most dominant pass rushers in the game and also one of the most dominant players that has ever gone through that organization. Mind you, there’s other guys that have done that before him, but he’s the current and the future of the Raiders.”

I agree with what Mostert is saying here, but we have to recognize some of the other reasons the Raiders decided to do this.

It's also interesting to hear a player who was in the facility daily with Crosby recognize the impact he had on the organization and still does from top to bottom.
