As it’s September, that can only mean one thing for American football fans - the start of the NFL season, which kicks off on Thursday 10 September. If you want to watch a game with friends and fellow fans, as well as take part in the ‘biggest ever’ NFL quiz then Stramash, the Scottish NFL podcast, has the ideal event.
The team behind the popular podcast are hosting a quiz, live recording and watch along of week three of the season. Doors open from 3pm and tickets cost £4.
They posted about the event, writing: “Join the Stramash podcast team at The Raven for Scotland's biggest ever NFL quiz. The night features a live show, giveaways, competitions, and raffle prizes, followed by a screening of NFL Week 3 action on the big screens. Expect a live discussion, drinks, and a great atmosphere with the local NFL community.

“Doors open at 3.30pm and this isn't just another watch party. We’ll be kicking off the event from 4pm with live chat and Scotland's biggest ever NFL pub quiz, then from 6pm it’s onto the live games.”
The Raven, located on Renfield Street, in Glasgow city centre recently underwent a huge £500,000 refurbishment. The venue now has capacity for 400 people and has state of the art audio visual media technology to create the best sporting experience in the city, including one digital wall of 8 HD TV screens and 20 screens to choose from around the venue.
A central part of the overhaul is the creation of a new sports viewing zone (The Arena) with more space for groups and matchday packages.
The pub now has a retro American sports bar feel with a cool, modern industrial edge, complete with lazy boy seating for prime viewing and a choice of booths that can be booked in advance.
