In form Riccardo Calafiori is looking forward to facing Napoli in the Champions League today, as Arsenal begin their European campaign with a difficult game at the Maradona Stadium.
The Gunners are among the best teams in European football, and they reached the Champions League final last season, where they faced PSG. Arsenal came close to winning the trophy for the first time in their history, but they ultimately lost the match on penalties against the Parisians.
Calafiori ready for Napoli challenge

Calafiori expects a special night
He said to Arsenal Media:
“I’m excited, it’s also nice to start in Italy, in Naples, a special city, and I’m really looking forward to playing this game. I think it will be amazing, especially for a Champions League night, the stadium will be buzzing for sure and I can’t wait to play.
“We started [the season] in a perfect way, I would say, and I hope we can keep going like that.”
Calafiori’s comments show his excitement ahead of Arsenal’s first European match of the season. The Gunners will hope their strong start continues when they take on Napoli and begin their latest Champions League campaign.
Arsenal will also be determined to improve on last season’s disappointment after reaching the final without lifting the trophy. The Gunners now have another opportunity to challenge for European glory, and their opening match in Naples will provide an early indication of their ability to compete at the highest level once again.
