Pinnington, 19, will be seen as someone capable of breaking into the Baggies’ first-team down the line in the Championship. However, for now his pathway into their starting XI is blocked by the likes of George Campbell, Chris Mepham and Nat Phillips, among others.

Therefore, the Midlands outfit should look to loan him out to help him get some more experience under his belt and to boost his development. The prospect would benefit greatly from getting a taste of men’s football and some exposure to consistent minutes somewhere else in the Football League.
West Brom have made a solid start to the new season and have been strong defensively under James Morrison. They won 1-0 at home against Watford last time out and they are back in action on Wednesday night with an away trip to Pride Park to take on Derby County as they look to keep their momentum going.

The centre-back rose up through Liverpool’s academy so has some decent pedigree behind him. He was a regular for the Premier League giants at various different youth levels growing up at Anfield.
Pinnington, who is from the Wirral, didn’t play for the Reds’ first-team though. He was then given the green light to head out the exit door on a permanent basis when the Baggies came calling earlier this year.
His decision to switch to West Brom is a sensible one though. The 6ft 2inc man is more likely to make it in the second tier then staying in the top flight.

West Brom will surely weigh up Pinnington’s immediate situation this winter. WBA will have a decision to make in a few months’ time on what to do with him next.
The teenager is a promising talent and is someone to keep an eye out for over the next couple of years. Teams lower down the pyramid will surely have him on their radar as a potential loan acquisition.
In the meantime, Morrison’s men will want to keep their eye-catching start to the campaign going for as long as possible. They remain inside the play-offs.
