As in the past two seasons, the Carabao Cup third round is being played over two weeks this campaign following the expansion of European competitions.

After some initial confusion, both Liverpool and Everton will play their matches next week, with the Reds hosting Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday September 14 and the Blues taking on Wolverhampton Wanderers a day later.

Both will of course be eyeing a place in the fourth round, but at the time of writing five clubs are already there - Bournemouth, Bradford, Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Newcastle.

A sixth will join them on Wednesday night when Chelsea host Leeds at Stamford Bridge, but if either Merseyside club make it through, when can they expect to learn their opponents?

When is the Carabao Cup fourth-round draw?

The draw is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16 following the match between Manchester United and Brighton at Old Trafford, and is expected to begin at around 10.20pm.

Can I watch the Carabao Cup fourth-round draw?

Yes, the draw will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, with former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp and ex-Everton defender Ashley Young on hand to pull out the teams.

When are the the Carabao Cup fourth-round ties played?

Matches are set to be played during the week beginning Monday, 26 October. For Liverpool, this comes between home Premier League fixtures against Brighton on October 25 and Arsenal on November 1. Everton face away games at Arsenal on October 24 and Newcastle on November 2.
