1. Inevitable Erling Haaland
No prizes for predicting this one, Haaland is the gift that keeps on giving, and the stalwart striker was the man that clinched the full set of points in the opening Champions League gameweek, just as was the case in City's weekend clash with Coventry City.
Scoring will never get old for the Norwegian, who now boasts 59 strikes in 59 games in Europe's elite competition, and it's a sharp and painful thought to wonder how the Blues would operate without his goalscoring impetus at this moment in time.
Haaland's robotics have now landed him in seventh place in the all-time Champions League goalscoring ranks, surpassing the legendary Thomas Muller (58) with his 91st minute sealer.

A match of this calibre, spearheading a line of arguably undesirable UEFA Champions League fixtures and under the lights of a watching (and jeering) 50,000 capacity crowd was one that was always going to present something of a blockade.
After struggling to find much penetrative movement in the first half, with a focus of passing play down Semenyo's left hand side, it was easy to grow restless within the growing sense that the hosts possess the ability to punish a lack of creativity.

Tuesday's hosts Porto came into the affair having not lost a match at their stadium since December 2025 and boast a formidable domestic and European record on familiar soil.
