Aaron Rodgers returned to Pittsburgh this spring for a 22nd NFL season, convinced he can cap off a Hall of Fame career with a second Super Bowl victory.
Asked recently by Adam Schein on Mad Dog Sports Radio if the Steelers are among eight to 12 teams with a realistic shot to make it to Super Bowl weekend, Rodgers responded confidently.
“Yeah, of course. Of course. That’s why I came back, because I believe in the guys,” Rodgers said.

The 42-year-old then listed off his reasoning, starting with Pittsburgh's additions on defense, namely Jaquan Brisker and Jamel Dean, to pair with a stellar front. Rodgers also noted the upside of the young offensive line and weapons brought in. The QB even praised the specialist crew, highlighting his belief that top-to-bottom the Steelers can compete with anyone.
“I like the roster as a whole,” Rodgers said. “We have good veteran leadership. It’s just about going out there and doing it. I feel like the AFC is very deep. Even our own division has a number of teams with Super Bowl aspirations, which is great.”
The Steelers' veteran roster could put it over the top in a crowded AFC. However, much of that opportunity will come down to how the quadragenarian quarterback plays.
