It’s Week 1! The season is finally here and we at The MMQB can’t wait for things to get started. We’ve already rolled out our staff season predictions, with everyone’s Super Bowl picks, full playoff brackets, award winners and annual bold predictions.
We have plenty of other great stuff on the site to get you ready for the season, including Conor Orr’s preseason power rankings, Albert Breer’s conversation with Sam Darnold and more. Plus, on a more serious note, Matt Verderame spent time with Chris Johnson and his family for a look at how they are navigating his life with ALS.
But before we get to Super Bowl LXI, let’s turn our attention to Week 1 with the return of our weekly staff picks. These will typically be published on Thursdays, but we’re pushing them out a day early with the Seahawks and Patriots kicking off Wednesday night. Orr is our defending champion from last season, and he is jumping right back into things with the most upset picks in Week 1. He is also the only person taking the Patriots on the road this week. There are three games where we are split down the middle with four pickers on each side: Buccaneers at Bengals, Jets at Titans and Packers at Vikings.
