The Champions League is back, and Liverpool faces a familiar foe as it begins its quest for a seventh European crown at Anfield.
The Reds face Atletico Madrid in a replay of last season's curtain-raiser, and if tonight's game is anywhere near as dramatic as that one, Anfield will be in for another memorable evening.
Andoni Iraola leads Liverpool into his first Champions League game as a head coach, having now got his first win under his belt following the 2-0 victory at Ipswich on Friday.
That will hopefully give his team, and in particular goalscorer Alexander Isak, plenty of confidence as they turn their attention to European matters, with another superstar on board now in the shape of Bradley Barcola.
Atletico has its fair share of big names as well, with Julian Alvarez having made the trip to Merseyside, despite having tried to force through a move to Barcelona during the summer.
As ever with Diego Simeone, drama is all but assured. Liverpool will be hoping it's the Argentine who is left raging again this evening.
