‘Adductor issues’ – Andoni Iraola provides big injury update ahead of kick-off

**Liverpool have announced their lineup for their UEFA Champions League season opener against Atletico Madrid at Anfield.**

Andoni Iraola has made two changes to the team that beat Ipswich Town 2-0 at Portman Road at the weekend as they aim to get one over Diego Simeone’s side.

Rio Ngumoha starts on the right flank in place of Victor Munoz, who has impressed since his move to Liverpool from Osasuna.

One of the Reds’ best players against Ipswich was Cody Gakpo as he ran the show away from home and provided two brilliant assists for Alexander Isak.

He missed training yesterday as a precaution and doesn’t feature in the matchday squad, with Bradley Barcola playing in his place.

And now, Andoni Iraola has provided an injury update on the Dutch international.

Speaking ahead of the game, Iraola confirms Gakpo doesn’t have an injury as such and should be back to face Fulham at the weekend.

“Cody finished the game against Ipswich with some adductor issues; not a proper injury.
