A man of many talents, New York Knicks star Landry Shamet was at the 2026 US Open as a photographer less than two months before the season begins.
After endearing himself to Knicks fans during the team's championship run, thanks in large part to his hot shooting, which led to a contract extension, he was seen at the US Open by the New York Post (via Front Office Sports), snapping shots of the action.
Months after winning the NBA Finals and signing a $24 million contract, Landry Shamet is photographing the US Open.
The Knicks player has worked as an unpaid photographer at the tournament the last two years and is back again for a third.

This is not the first time the three-point shooter was at the tournament. He has worked as an unpaid photographer at the event the last two years, making this his third in a row.

Shamet was on fire during the 2025-26 postseason. He was especially crucial during the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Shamet averaged 9.8 points per game, but he made 11 of his 12 three-point attempts in the four-game series.
He had started to catch fire the previous series against the Philadelphia 76ers. Shamet made 58.3% of his three-pointers in that series.
In the NBA Finals, Shamet was largely held in check. He scored 13 points in each of the Knicks' first two wins, but he would fail to score more than five in the last three contests.
During the regular season, he averaged 9.3 points per game. This was Shamet's second season with the Knicks — he also played for the Westchester Knicks during the 2024-25 season.
Before his time with the Knicks, Shamet bounced around the league. He started his career with the 76ers after being drafted in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft. He then played for the Los Angeles Clippers, the Brooklyn Nets, the Phoenix Suns, and the Washington Wizards.
