Liverpool news as Andoni Iraola provides Bradley Barcola injury update

**Liverpool secured a 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid, getting their UEFA Champions League campaign off to the perfect start.**

The Reds have now won two successive games under Andoni Iraola and will look to carry on in the same vein in the coming weeks.

Bradley Barcola made his first start for the club on the right flank, with Rio Ngumoha starting on the left.

And while the Frenchman didn’t score, he had his chances and delivered a positive performance at Anfield.

Barcola, however, pulled up in the second half and was substituted immediately for Victor Munoz.

And now, Andoni Iraola has confirmed it was just a cramp, much to the relief of Liverpool fans around the world.

Speaking after the game, Iraola confirmed that the French international isn’t suffering from an injury of any sort after it appeared as if he was clutching his left calf before going off.

The Spaniard also confirmed that Milos Kerkez was also just suffering from a cramp after he was withdrawn late in the game for Kostas Tsimikas.

No injuries, a good win in Europe and a promising debut for one of the club’s most expensive signings in history. Happy days…
