DENISON, Texas (KXII) - Denison residents gathered at the George Tavern Wednesday night to watch Jadarian Price make his NFL debut with the Seattle Seahawks.
“Nice to see a local boy do good,” Steve Down said.
Price was drafted 32nd overall to the Seattle Seahawks.
“I was very excited that he was on a winning team,” Knox Evans said.
Price joined the reigning Super Bowl champions.
He sent a message on video to fans watching from Denison.
“I just wanted to say how proud I am to be from Denison, Texas, and I can’t thank y’all enough for y’alls support,” Price said.
Fans gather to watch first game

Fans headed to the watch party to celebrate Price’s first game.
“Oh I’m a big fan, I’ve been watching him since he was playing on the high school football field,” Evans, who described himself as Price’s biggest fan, said.
The watch party included giveaways from the United Way of Grayson County, including a football and helmet signed by Price.
“He’s a huge celebrity here in town,” Chris Wallentine said.
Fans filled the restaurant as the night went on, awaiting kickoff.
Game begins

The game started at 7:20 p.m.
“I say Seahawks win by 10! I say final score 32-42!” Evans said.
Early in the game, Price took a handoff and ran it in for a first down.
Hometown fans cheered for Price.
“We’re just excited for him and we’re proud of him and we’re looking forward to what he does in the NFL,” Donna Dow said.
“I think he’s gonna contribute a lot to the team,” Wallentine said.
