Raphinha was once again in his best form as FC Barcelona opened their UEFA Champions League campaign with a 5-1 win over Feyenoord at the Spotify Camp Nou last night.

The first one of these goals was particularly spectacular, while the second came through teamwork between him and Pedri.

**“Playing in front of our fans, we have to play almost perfect football. We have been very good from the start, controlling the game. Starting like this gives us a lot of confidence.”**
Despite the good start to the season, Raphinha was not getting carried away:
**“A season has many ups and downs. We want to continue like this, try to keep the downs to a minimum and continue putting in good performances.”**
The Brazilian star also revealed how he tried to encourage Yamal in this match:
**“I know Lamine. I know when he is drifting out of the game because things aren’t going his way. I tried to encourage him and tell him that he was going to score, so that he wouldn’t drift out of the game.”**
The Barcelona forward also expressed his happiness at Yamal getting on the scoresheet:
**“I’m very happy that he scored. I’m sure he needed this goal. The most important thing is for one person to be happy for the other.”**
Lastly, Raphinha refused to comment on missing out on the Ballon d’Or list:
**“I don’t talk about that; I talk about Barcelona. We are having a spectacular season.”**
With his performances at the start of the season, Raphinha is already proving that he deserved a Ballon d’Or nomination. Although he is not going to win this award, he surely will continue to put in spectacular performances for Barcelona.
