“Every Time…” – Enzo Fernandez Makes Vow To Erling Haaland After 1st Assist For Man City Teammate

New Man City signing Enzo Fernandez says he has made it his mission to get as many assists as possible for teammate Erling Haaland.
The Argentinian international created the opener for Haaland during the 2-0 win over Porto in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Asked for his thoughts on Man City’s goal machine, Fernandez was effusive in his praise:
“Erling Haaland is an animal. He is a beast, so every time he is on the pitch, I’m going to look for him, and hopefully give him many more assists. It is not just about the player he is; he is also an amazing human being, and he has really welcomed me in and helped me.”

It may have taken weeks of negotiations, but the midfielder’s arrival on Deadline Day from Chelsea in a deal worth £125m clearly came as a huge relief for the player.
As well as praising Haaland, Fernandez thanked head coach Enzo Maresca for his efforts in helping him secure his switch to the Etihad. He has also expressed his gratitude for how warmly he has been welcomed by the first-team squad in general, not just Haaland.

The Porto win is a boost ahead of the Manchester derby
Maresca said he was generally happy with the performance level in Portugal. The Cityzens dominated the game up until Haaland’s opener, and then things got a bit ragged.
It certainly wasn’t perfect, but the three points will give the team confidence heading into a big clash against rivals United at Old Trafford this weekend.
With the Red Devils playing Sabah FK on Thursday night, Maresca’s men will also have a couple of days’ additional rest going into the derby compared to their opponents.
