Ronald Araujo may only be a loan signing, but his actions since joining Liverpool will certainly have pleased fans. The temporary signing from Barcelona - who arrived with a £47million option to buy - was excellent in Andoni Iraola's side's 2-1 home win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
He contributed the vital assist for Dominik Szoboszlai's goal against Atletico as part of another impressive display. Having also performed strongly in the 2-0 away triumph over Ipswich Town, he appears to have answered all of the worries about the right-back position.
At present, his move to Anfield is only a loan, but his decisions since moving to Liverpool suggest he may have an eye on a more permanent arrangement. This certainly will go down well with a fanbase who is already taking to the Uruguayan.

According to the Athletic, Araujo has already purchased a house close to the club's training ground for him, his wife and their two daughters. He is also having regular English lessons with a private tutor so he can get up to speed with the language quickly.
Further reports also claimed he agreed to reduce his salary to secure the move to Anfield, such was his desire to play for the club. If that wasn't enough, he also gifted a signed shirt to young Liverpool fan Isaac Kearney, who moved the Liverpool fanbase when he was visited by Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah at school in 2024.
Araujo's settling in period is also being assisted by fellow arrival Victor Munoz and current midfield star Alexis Mac Allister, who both speak Spanish.

On top of all of his decisions and gestures, his performances are already pleasing Iraola. The Reds boss, when asked about the Uruguayan, said: "I think he’s been very good.
"The other day [against Ipswich] he was, and I’d say he was even better tonight. He's defending his side really well, but also sometimes because he's a centre-back, we underrate his offensive side. He gave a great assist to Dominik Szoboszlai.
"He's made a couple of very good serves from his position and I'm very happy with him. He’s come with the willingness to show that he belongs at this level. I hope we can keep him there because he’s in a lovely place.”

Van Dijk also praised his new colleague's display, saying: "Right-back is not his specialist position but he has played there before.
"He's shown everyone how well he can perform that role. It's vital that we’re a solid unit with the back four and the keeper together."
