Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister has reaffirmed his love for the club on social media, after the midfielder appeared to get some grievances off his chest regarding his contract situation.
The 27-year-old faced the media alongside head coach Andoni Iraola before the clash with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, where he was asked about his future and his chances of an exit over the summer. Mac Allister revealed that he was sad that the club had not offered him a new contract extension, following deals being handed to his fellow midfield partners, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch.
With the Argentinian international now into the final two years of his contract, there have been doubts over his future and links with both Manchester City and Real Madrid over the summer, which have only added fuel to the fire.

While Mac Allister revealed his frustrations and the fact that he had opportunities to leave Anfield in the summer, he went on to make it clear that he was still firmly committed to the club until the final day of his contract, regardless of the decision that is made over his future in the months ahead.
That was further underlined when the star pulled out perhaps his best performance of the early season so far, starting against Atletico Madrid with a point to prove.
While he looked back to his intense best, the energetic midfielder added to that quality display with a telling contribution, scoring the winning goal with a smashing strike from the edge of the box to complete the comeback over the Spanish side.

On the pitch, there was a pointed message in his celebration, as Mac Allister thumped the Liver bird crest on the home shirt and showed his love for the club.
The 27-year-old reaffirmed that on social media after the game, posting an image of his celebration after the game with a simple caption: "LFC [heart emoji]."
There will be some hope that it can be just the start for Mac Allister, in a season that could allow him to recapture his best form after a difficult campaign last time out.
There is a point to prove for the midfielder, alongside his teammates in the central ranks, after calls came in for Liverpool to sign a player in that position, due to the lack of defensive-minded profiles in the team.
Mac Allister could provide that, having taken Gravenberch's place alongside Szoboszlai, with the Argentina ace still working his way back from a late return due to the World Cup this summer.
It remains to be seen how the midfielder will do this summer, especially after making such a public claim over his future, but he could certainly back up his contract frustrations by proving his worth on the pitch.
