**It has been around for 17 years, but one of Everton’s finest pieces of mischief is still finding a new audience.**
A social media post highlighting the name of the [Everton](https://readeverton.com/) club shop in Liverpool city centre has gone viral again, with plenty apparently only just discovering the joke.
The shopping and leisure complex is called Liverpool ONE. Everton’s shop there is called Everton Two.
Everton Two opened in Liverpool ONE in October 2009 as part of a revamp of the club’s retail operation.
The club’s Goodison Park megastore became Everton One, while the new city-centre branch was named Everton Two. The result was an address Evertonians have enjoyed ever since: Everton Two, Liverpool One.
And this isn’t supporter folklore. Everton’s 2009 annual report records the retail operation as Everton One at Goodison Park, Everton Two at Liverpool ONE and evertondirect.com online.
Seventeen years later, Football HQ has brought the joke back to life on social media, describing it as “elite shithousery from the Toffees”. The Goodison Park store closed in July 2025 as Everton prepared for life at the Hill Dickinson, but Everton Two remains open on South John Street in Liverpool ONE.
The joke is almost old enough to buy a pint, but Everton Two, Liverpool One still raises a smile in 2026… for some.
