Experienced defender Ronald Araujo joined Liverpool on loan from FC Barcelona during the summer transfer window, and he has started his side's last two games

Barcelona supporters are becoming increasingly convinced that Ronald Araujo will make his loan move to Liverpool permanent. The defender completed a temporary move to Anfield during the summer transfer window.
He signed on a season long loan, with the Reds having the option to make the move permanent for a £47 million fee next summer. Liverpool are covering all of the defender’s wages, but have not paid a loan fee to Barcelona.
The 27-year-old has featured in all four Liverpool matches so far this season. He started at right-back for the weekend’s 2-0 Premier League win against Ipswich, and the 2-1 Champions League victory over Atletico on Wednesday night, where he provided an assist for Dominik Szoboszlai's equaliser.

Responding to his start to life at Anfield, Barca fans took to social media to give their thoughts on the possibility of the move becoming permanent.
“We’re getting that €55m folks, they love him,” one wrote on X. A second posted: “Anfield legit gave him an ovation for just chasing the ball around the pitch. They love him a lot, clearly!”
A third said: “We’re getting that money in January I swear to God." A fourth added: “I hope the euphoria keeps goes nuts and they trigger the money before the winter transfer window.”
A fifth posted: “Honestly I'm glad, all parties will be happy. Sad he didn't work out here, cause his profile was legit perfect for our style, but I think it was errors piling on top of each other and he probably couldn't think about anything other than making another one.”
“They will trigger that part of the contract for sure,” said a fifth.
Araujo is clearly enjoying life at Anfield, speaking to Movistar after the win over Atletico, he said: “Liverpool is a big club like Barcelona. You have to give your best and there are high expectations.
“I am happy, I’m working hard as you can see also on the pitch. I am happy here and hungry for more.
“I’m really happy to be here, because Liverpool are a great club, and I’m really looking forward to continuing to give my all so I can keep contributing to the team.
“I love playing in this stadium; I think it’s a very special and lovely place, and when we’re also able to show off all our hard work here with a good result, it makes us feel very satisfied.”
Speaking about his long-term future, Barcelona sporting director Deco told RAC 1: “I don't know (if he’ll come back), let's see, he has a contract with us. It's very early still.
“He's a player that we have a lot of respect for and I would tell you plenty of affection, not only us as a club, but also the locker room, so from here, let's see. It's a topic for the future."
