Breaking down the Bears’ Thursday practice at Halas Hall:
Rome limited
Wide receiver Rome Odunze, who hurt his calf a week ago, had limited participation. He was limited in the Bears’ estimated practice report Wednesday. The Bears had Wednesday off.
If he can’t play Sunday, Bears offensive coordinator Press Taylor said the Bears would be prepaered.
“That’s something we’ll just let the medical staff tell us what his availability is and we’ll roll from there,” he said.
Vet days
Left guard Joe Thuney and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett each received a veteran day off on Thursday, a day where the Bears focused on special teams. The two captains are expected to practice Friday.
Bagent still out
Backup quarterback Tyson Bagent remained out with a back injury. He practiced Monday and Tuesday before going on the projected injury report Wednesday. If he can’t dress for Sunday’s game, 38-year-old Case Keenum would serve as the team’s second-string quarterback.
