Curt Cignetti has led the Indiana football program to new heights during his tenure in Bloomington. Along with achieving historic success on the gridiron, Cignetti has helped the Hoosiers reach unprecedented heights in the NFL Draft.
This past season, a total of eight Hoosiers were selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, which set a program record. The class was led by No. 1 overall Fernando Mendoza, who will be one of the most closely-followed players in the entire NFL this season.
Along with Mendoza, a handful of other former Hoosiers are set to begin their respective NFL career in Week 1. Indiana also has a plethora of alums that have been in the NFL for several years and carved out steady roles on their respective teams.
All in all, Indiana fans have plenty of former players to keep tabs on this season, starting with Week 1. Here is a look at which former Hoosiers will suit up and be active this week.

In total, 18 former Hoosiers made NFL 53-man rosters coming out of training camp. Five more former Hoosiers enter NFL Week 1 on practice squads, and could see playing time later on down the road. All players listed below are active unless otherwise noted.
