Quick Hits on the Titans From Thursday

\-The Titans signed cornerback Jaylon Jones to the team's 53-man roster on Thursday, and waived defensive back Melvin Smith Jr.

Jones was on the practice field on Thursday, in No. 42.

"Blessed to get the opportunity to come here and work with the guys," Jones said. "I'm excited, man."

Jones, who played at Texas A&M, was a seventh-round draft pick of the Colts in the 2023 NFL Draft and he played from 2023-2025 in Indianapolis.

Jones (6-2, 203) logged 44 games, with 29 starts, and he recorded 162 tackles, two interceptions and 21 passes defensed. He missed the first part of last season with a hamstring injury. Jones started all 17 games for the Colts in 2024. Jones was waived by the Colts on Tuesday.

"Just (try) to get up to speed pretty quick," Jones said. "I've been in this defense before, so I'm ready to get to work."
