The Raiders claimed guard Bryce Cabeldue off waivers from the Seahawks ahead of their 2026 season opener against the Dolphins.
The [Las Vegas Raiders](/nfl/las-vegas-raiders) have added offensive line depth by [claiming](https://www.raiders.com/news/raiders-claim-guard-bryce-cabeldue-waive-guard-atonio-mafi-nfl-2026-transactions-week-1) guard Bryce Cabeldue off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, bringing him to the team ahead of their 2026 season opener against the Miami Dolphins this weekend. To make room for Cabeldue, Las Vegas waived guard Atonio Mafi.
Cabeldue, 25, was originally selected by Seattle with the 192nd overall pick in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-4, 308-pound guard was drafted out of Kansas while Klint Kubiak was serving as the Seahawks' offensive coordinator. That previous connection gives Kubiak familiarity with Cabeldue from both the evaluation process and his time in Seattle.
Cabeldue appeared in eight regular-season games as a rookie in 2025. During that stretch, he recorded 24 offensive snaps and 32 special-teams snaps while being part of the Seahawks' Super Bowl-winning team. He did not play in the postseason after suffering an injury.

Seattle waived Cabeldue shortly before its Wednesday night season opener against the New England Patriots. He appeared in one game for the Seahawks during the 2026 season before being released.
Cabeldue also arrives with substantial college experience. He was a four-year starter at Kansas from 2021 through 2024, playing 45 games primarily at right tackle. As a senior, he started all 12 games at right tackle and helped an offensive line that produced 211.4 rushing yards per game while allowing only 10 sacks. He earned All-Big 12 honorable mention recognition that season.
The Raiders already have Spencer Burford and Jackson Powers-Johnson projected as their starting guards, with Caleb Rogers also on the roster.
