An NFL team is making headlines after it was announced that they would be playing two different national anthems all season long. The news surfaces just a few days before the first Sunday of the season. The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots kicked off the season on Wednesday night while the Rams and 49ers play tonight in Australia.
However, it is the Buffalo Bills who will be playing multiple national anthems. Here are the details.

Buffalo Bills To Play 2 National Anthems For Every NFL Game This Year
In this season’s Buffalo Bills‘ home games, “O Canada” will be played before each game. As part of the dedication of the new building, both anthems will be honored.
The opening plan was posted by the team on Wednesday. On Sept. 17, Toronto’s Barenaked Ladies will sing the Canadian anthem against Detroit. Auliʻi Cravalho (Moana’s voice) follows with The Star-Spangled Banner.

In that game on Thursday night, the $2.1 billion stadium will host its first regular-season game. OneRepublic will perform at halftime. Additionally, there are now two flags rather than one at the start of the pregame.
Approximately 10 to 15 percent of the team’s season ticket holders are Canadians. It takes two hours to drive from Southern Ontario to Orchard Park. Since 1970, the Buffalo Sabres have played both anthems.
Both the Buffalo Bills and Sabers are owned by Terry Pegula. From 2008 to 2013, the Bills staged home games in Toronto. Some of the minority owners are former Raptors and Toronto FC players.
