While he can't narrate what the future holds, Jonathan Kuminga made it clear that he would like to remain in Minnesota and play for the Timberwolves beyond the upcoming NBA season.
“I would love it to be a long-term thing," Kuminga told reporters during his introductory press conference when asked about how much he is hoping to play more than one season with the Wolves. "I’m not going to predict what it’s going to be.
"I think God has a plan for all of us. All I got to do is just come in and do my job every single day and the rest of the things will handle themselves.”

Jonathan Kuminga signed a two-year, $13 million deal to join the Minnesota Timberwolves this offseason.
The second season is a $6.3 million player option.
Considering the structure of the deal, Kuminga has a chance to either enter free agency again next year or put himself in a position to return to Minnesota and run it back for the 2026-27 NBA season.
