As the Chelsea first team squad are forced to watch European football from home this season, Trevoh Chalobah is one of the former Blues enjoying a taste of the Champions League this season.
After being deemed surplus to requirements by Xabi Alonso, Chalobah made a move to Italy over the summer to join Cesc Fabregas’ Como.
Their excellent 2025/26 season saw them qualify for the Champions League, and Chalobah was named in the starting side to face RB Leipzig.

Trevoh Chalobah stars for Como in the Champions League
Coming up against former Chelsea teammates Marc Guiu and Christopher Nkunku, Como were the far superior side, winning 4-1.
Chalobah put in a near-flawless performance at centre-back, winning two out of the three duels he was required to take part in.
He made four clearances and a single recovery, with the majority of his positive elements coming while in possession.
The England international completed 64 of his 67 passes, whilst also playing a couple into the final third to keep the pressure on Leipzig.
He was joined at Como this summer by Robert Sanchez, who is yet to earn his first appearance under Fabregas.
Chalobah struggled on his Como debut after joining, but has proven to be a key element of a side who look set to be one of the most exciting prospects in the Champions League this season.
Chelsea had somewhat of an exodus of centre-backs over the summer. Tosin Adarabioyo completed a move to Tottenham, while Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi left the club on loan.
Of those players though, Chalobah had enjoyed the best career at Stamford Bridge, and was the most painful exit for supporters to deal with.
He was replaced by Maxence Lacroix, who has been brilliant since moving to Stamford Bridge, although playing a back three would likely want Alonso wanting one more option to choose from.
Chalobah has continued to prove he can deliver on the big stage, and looks like he will be a player they miss this season.
