The Miami Heat have had an eventful summer with the trade that got them Giannis Antetokounmpo and free agents signings like Klay Thompson and Tim Hardaway Jr. to bolster shooting next to the Greek superstar.
However, many rumors surround Miami as they need some more guard depth behind Davion Mitchell. While a player like Gabe Vincent has been mentioned as a potential reunion, Heat reporter Ira Winderman floated the name of former All-Star D'Angelo Russell given his situation with the Memphis Grizzlies is resolved.
"Gabe Vincent remains available for a reunion, and there could be something to be said about a non-guaranteed camp invite, if he were to be amenable. A Grizzlies buyout of D'Angelo Russell could also open a door for veteran depth at the position," Winderman wrote.

D'Angelo Russell bound for Memphis Grizzlies exit
D'Angelo Russell's exit in Memphis is already looming, as it was previously reported that both he and the Grizzlies are working out a resolution.
Russell will be either traded or waived by Memphis this offseason with him being waived becoming more and more likely, according to Jake Fischer.
Russell, who exercised his $5 million player option for the 2026-27 season, was moved by the Washington Wizards to the Grizzlies in a multi-team trade deal.
The 30-year-old former No. 2 overall pick of the Los Angeles Lakers averaged 10.2 points, 4.0 assists, and 2.3 rebounds in 26 games last season for the Dallas Mavericks.
