Those of a Chelsea persuasion will have fond memories of Arjen Robben - the skilful, electric, tantalising former Dutch winger.
A master at beating defenders and causing danger with his left foot after drifting in from the right, Robben was a problem for defences - and England could have their own version in Sam Amo-Ameyaw.

Strasbourg have turned into a hotspot for young talent and share the same owners, BlueCo, as Premier League giants Chelsea, with the club now working towards a return to the top of French football.
The Ligue 1 side operate in the transfer market with a model that prioritises the signings of promising players in their teens or early 20s over established or more experienced names.
Chelsea mostly worked in the same way up until the recent summer window, but Strasbourg haven't strayed - the average age of their 18 recent arrivals is 20.4.
Hermann Malonga, who was eyed by Manchester City, is one of those to have made the switch as he joined from Paris Saint-Germain, with Jacobo Ortega arriving after his spell at Real Madrid.
However, with the 2026/27 season now in full flow, Strasbourg have made a strong start thanks to Amo-Ameyaw, who was one of their 'class of summer 2025' signings.
A former academy talent at Tottenham Hotspur, he completed his move to Strasbourg from Southampton initially on loan before the obligation to buy, worth a reported €7million (£6m), was activated.
On Sunday, the England U21 winger came off the bench to score two goals in a 6-2 Ligue 1 win at Troyes - both saw him burst in from the right and fire past the goalkeeper, just like Robben did in his prime.

Continued success at Strasbourg would spark the potential for a big-money move to their affiliates Chelsea like Mamadou Sarr and Emmanuel Emegha have done of late, as well as Valentin Barco, who scored in the thrilling 6-3 win over Leeds United on Wednesday night.

High praise has seen him be touted as the new Robben, who got amongst the goals for Chelsea, Madrid, Bayern and the Netherlands by cutting onto his left with ease
But when European football journalist Andy Brassell reflected on his display against Troyes, he argued that, despite the glitz and glamour of the Premier League, Amo-Ameyaw should stay put.
Brassell compared the 20-year-old to the Chelsea hero and Dutch legend Robben, who also starred for European giants such as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Robben scored 246 goals and recorded 200 assists for FC Groningen, PSV Eindhoven, Chelsea, Madrid, Bayern and the Netherlands with his unique and effective skill set - the fact that Amo-Ameyaw has been likened to him is nothing but encouraging.
"Sam Amo-Ameyaw coming on and finishing the game, really, against Troyes, the 'multi-club derby' between Troyes and Strasbourg," he told talkSPORT.com.
"Strasbourg had a bit of a rough start in the first half; they went a goal down and were under pressure for a little bit, but they recovered from it really well.
"When they came back into the game, Amo-Ameyaw was great when he came on. He went from them having an advantage in the game to then completely killing it.
"He contributed nicely on many occasions last season, but you know when you can see a player has really taken a step up? He came on in this game, scored two goals on his left foot coming in from the right-hand side that Arjen Robben would have been proud of.
"Two brilliant goals, the talent is absolutely clear. It's just, with Strasbourg, you don't know if it's going to be kept in the place where it should develop for long enough.

"If there was some sort of Chelsea swoop for him in five months, or four months, or 12 months, it wouldn't surprise me, but it would probably be the wrong thing at this point in time.
"He's a really interesting player, I wouldn't want him to become just another commodity, I really enjoy watching him."
Brassell then assessed Amo-Ameyaw's chances of playing at senior level for England if he sustains an upward trajectory at Strasbourg.
He has already earned 46 total appearances across Three Lions youth sides, two of which have come at the second-highest level with the U21s.
"I guess if we're looking at it from an eventual England perspective, it is quite hard to see where you go," Brassell explained.
"We've got Bukayo Saka, Cole Palmer, we've talked about Nwaneri who, if he has a good season at (Borussia Dortmund, on loan from Arsenal), might be in the mix too.
"So, Amo-Ameyaw just needs to concentrate on having a really, really good season at club level and then take it from there.
"But, given that they lost Gary O'Neil as their coach and they lost some big players, it is an opportunity for him and for them. I think they've looked really quite decent over these last couple of weeks."
