Alexander Isak says he feels good and in form after making a good start to the new season with Liverpool, with Bradley Barcola's arrival adding to Andoni Iraola's firepower

Alexander Isak says he feels confident and in-form after starting the new season strongly. He netted a quick-fire brace for Liverpool at Ipswich a week ago and has been much more involved in general play.
In his debut campaign at Anfield, Isak struggled to gain match sharpness and then broke his leg. But he has already matched his Premier League goal tally from last term and is leading the line well under Andoni Iraola.
"That is how I want to play, and that’s how I want to score goals," Isak told club media ahead of the visit of Fulham this weekend. "I was certainly happy with that. But as I said, it’s early days and I’ve got to keep going.
"I feel good, I feel like I’m in a good place. With the team as well, we’re getting better and better. We want to keep this rhythm.
"It has been challenging of course, with a lot of injuries especially. But there have been some beautiful moments as well, good learning moments.
"I take all of that as stuff to help me get better and get stronger, not looking back too much and just focusing on what’s ahead."
Liverpool fans have always kept faith with Isak, and have been vocal in singing his name this season so far.

"(The backing of the fans) means a lot," he said. "Obviously, I’ve known and seen how brilliant the fans are at this football club.
"I was really excited about coming here and being a part of that relationship between the club and the players and the fans. You can really feel that. It’s really something valuable.
"It's brilliant support all the time, even during difficult times for the team. They have been brilliant so far as long as I’ve been here."
Liverpool now has three £100M-plus forwards in its attack, with Isak, Bradley Barcola and Florian Wirtz. That will be supplemented by the likes of Cody Gakpo and Victor Munoz.

"Of course, (Barcola) a big signing for us and he’s a great player that we all know very well from what he’s done previously," Isak added.
"I'm sure he’s going to be someone to help make us much better as a team. So, we’re really excited."
Liverpool.com says: Given the chances, Isak will score goals, and if the Reds are to succeed this season, then he will be the key. With Hugo Ekitike injured, a lot of pressure is on his shoulders to stay fit.
His quality, though, has never been in doubt, and there is now pace out wide to feed him, not just with Barcola, but Munoz and Rio Ngumoha too.
