**Liverpool are slowly clicking into gear under Andoni Iraola after successive wins against Ipswich Town and Atletico Madrid.**
The Reds began the season with two draws against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest and struggled particularly at right back, with Jeremie Frimpong and Dom Szoboszlai playing in that position.
However, in recent weeks, Ronald Araujo has been stationed in that role, and it’s safe to say he has already made a massive impression.
And now, Jamie Carragher believes the Barcelona loanee has become a bit of a cult hero among the Liverpool faithful.
Araujo has been rock solid at the back and also got himself an assist vs Atleti with a brilliant backheel.
“He’s almost in two games really – he’s become a cult hero,” said Carragher via talkSPORT.
“The fans have absolutely fallen in love with him straight away, and sometimes you have players like that, you know, they’ve come, got a little bit of a backstory at Barcelona, maybe they were happy to see him go.
“But the Liverpool supporters have opened their arms and given him a bit of a cuddle and he seems to be enjoying it!”
The Anfield faithful have clearly taken to him quite well. Araujo, for his part, seems to be loving every moment as a Liverpool player, so long may it continue!
