The last time that **Everton** beat **Tottenham Hotspur** away from home was in the 2020/21 season. **Dominic Calvert-Lewin** scored the only goal as **Carlo Ancelotti’s** side started their campaign on a strong foot.

**Jordan Pickford**
Now in his tenth season at the club, the 32-year-old kept his side in the game early on following two strong saves. Throughout the 2020/21 campaign, Pickford impressed, which led to him starting for England in the delayed Euros, and he saved two penalties in the defeat to Italy.
**Seamus Coleman**
This is the first time since 2008 that Everton will be starting a season without Seamus Coleman, as he announced his departure towards the end of last season.
Coleman only featured in 25 Premier League games and formed a partnership with James Rodriguez.
**Michael Keane**
Like Pickford, Keane is also in his tenth season at the club, and in the 20/21 season Keane was an ever-present in an Everton side which finished tenth.
Keane found his game time limited in recent years due to the emergence of Jarrad Branthwaite but did feature in 33 Premier League games last season.
**Yerry Mina**
The defender was a mainstay in the side and was part of a defence which picked up strong victories away at Leicester City, Arsenal, Leeds and West Ham, as for large margins of the season Everton were in the mix for Europe.
Despite this, the defender often struggled with injuries while at the club but did score a 99th-minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Wolves in May 2023.
Following playing a key part in Everton’s survival, Mina departed to Fiorentina and has spent the last two seasons at Cagliari.
**Lucas Digne**
Digne’s swinging free-kick was met by the head of Calvert-Lewin, and during the same season the 33-year-old signed a five-year contract with the club.
The Frenchman was a fan favourite at the club before departing in January 2022 following a fallout with Rafa Benitez.
Following a successful three and a half years at Aston Villa, Digne resigned for Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
**Allan**
The Brazilian only spent two seasons at the club and was brought over by Ancelotti, as he was a key player for the Italian at Napoli. The midfielder often sat in front of the Everton backline and was known for his work ethic.
Now 35, Allan is back in Brazil playing for Botafogo and was part of the squad that won the Copa Libertadores and Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.
**Andre Gomes**
Entering his second season since joining permanently from Barcelona, Gomes featured on 32 occasions before enduring a difficult 2021/22 season where Everton battled relegation.
Following a loan spell at French side Lille, Gomes returned to the _Blues_ where he scored his final goal for the club in a FA Cup Third Round replay against Crystal Palace in 2024.
Now, the Euro 2016 winner is playing his football for MLS side Columbus Crew.
**Abdoulaye Doucoure**
Part of the trio that was making their Everton debut, in his first season at the club Doucoure was often proving cover on Rodriguez’s side.
Doucoure’s best football came under Sean Dyche, where he scored big goals for the _Blues,_ which proved to be vital as the club battled relegation.
The Mali midfielder is best known for his strike on the final day of the 2022/23 season, where he scored the only goal in the 1-0 victory over Bournemouth.
**James Rodriguez**
The Colombian only spent a season at the club but often came up with the goods as he scored six goals and assisted on eight occasions.
Rodriguez scored impressive goals against West Brom, Leicester and Manchester United but only featured 23 times in the Premier League due to injuries.
Since Everton, the attacker has played his football in Qatar, Greece, Brazil, Spain, Mexico and USA as he’s been labelled as a journeyman.
**Dominic Calvert-Lewin**
Scoring the only goal of the game, Dominic Calvert-Lewin enjoyed his best goalscoring season for Everton as he ended the 2020/21 season with 21 goals.
The next few years proved to be challenging for the forward as he battled through injuries. Calvert-Lewin scored Everton’s second goal in a 2-0 victory over Liverpool - their first home league win over their rivals since 2010.
The 29-year-old is second in Everton’s all-time Premier League goalscorers and left the _Blues_ after eight years to join Leeds United.
**Richarlison**
The Brazilian was rumoured to return to Everton this summer and enjoyed four years at the _Blues,_ as he constantly scored big goals for the club.
In 2020/21, Richarlison scored 13 goals for Everton but only seven in the Premier League. The 29-year-old did score the opening goal in the 2-0 victory against Liverpool, which was the first time the _Toffees_ had beaten their neighbours at Anfield since 1999.
Richarlison departed for Tottenham in the summer of 2022 and scored 32 goals in 134 games for the _Lillywhites._
