Former Buffalo Bills defensive tackle signs with New England Patriots

Another former Buffalo Bills player has signed with the New England Patriots, as DaQuan Jones has reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with Mike Vrabel’s team.

Ian Rapoport was first on the news late Friday morning before Sunday’s Week 1 action:

A 2022 signee in Buffalo, Jones certainly had his moments as a disruptive interior force as a member of the Bills, but a scattering of injuries disallowed him from being a true game-changer in his four seasons with the team.

After appearing on 49.4% of Buffalo’s defense snaps in 2024, Jones’ snap percentage dipped slightly to 42.9% in a season ago, when he mustered 22 tackles, three sacks, three tackles for loss, and a respectable albeit unspectacular pressure rate of 7.9% from the inside.

The now 34-year-old Jones joins Reggie Gilliam and Mitch Wishnowsky and 2025 Bills who now play for the 2026 Patriots.
