Hisar: Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST) has secured accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for its Food Technology programme, taking the number of NBA-accredited programmes at the university to 10.A special meeting chaired by vice-chancellor Prof Narsi Ram Bishnoi was held at his office on Friday to mark the achievement.Registrar Prof Vijay Kumar said the accreditation would further enhance the quality standards of the university’s programmes and benefit students.Dean of academic affairs, Prof Yogesh Chhabra, said NBA accreditation enhances students’ employability and strengthens the credibility of their degrees among industries and employers. It also improves opportunities for placements in national and multinational companies.He said NBA-accredited engineering programmes linked to the Washington Accord enjoy wider international recognition.
