KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Chiefs made a critical addition to the injury report on Friday.
The Chiefs announced that star defensive tackle Chris Jones was added to the injury report and listed as a limited participant in practice due to a calf injury.
Jones has dealt with calf injuries in the past, but his limited participation is a concerning development after he was not listed on the injury report Thursday.
The remainder of the Chiefs’ injury report remained the [same as Thursday](https://www.kctv5.com/2026/09/10/pair-chiefs-listed-non-participants-first-injury-report-season/), with safety Chamarri Conner and left tackle Josh Simmons both being listed as non-participants.
Before practice Friday, Jones spoke to the media.
Saturday’s injury report will provide a final glimpse into Jones’ potential status before the Chiefs announce the active roster for Monday’s 7:15 p.m. kickoff against the Denver Broncos.
